"Nodes of Resistance will contribute to building a broad and resolute movement that dares to reject and fight Big Tech. We pick up where the Cables of Resistance conference ended. The conference brought together hundreds of people from all over the world to discuss, organise and build resistance against exploitation, oppression and violence by Big Tech. Nodes of Resistance is a series of events in Berlin that will open the room to continue debates that started at the conference, go deeper and get organised. The events will cover a range of highly contemporary topics related to digital capitalism, resistance and building better futures, including technology without extractivism, radical „AI“ refusal, resistance against data centres, anti-feminist biotechnology, connecting different resistance forms and strategies, „AI“ and militarisation as well as tech authoritarianism.

At each event, there will be an input, an interactive discussion and an opportunity to connect with groups that already resist and build futures without Big Tech. We need to learn together, discuss and then turn those insights into action, into building a movement. This movement needs to combine struggles, go beyond short-term campaigns and locally expressed discontent. It should be as broad and unpredictable as it can be to reflect the diversity of the society that is affected by the Big Tech’s destruction, and it can use a range of resistance methods as an act of self-defence. We need physical focal points of resistance across which we connect to form a movement spanning diverse backgrounds and regions. Let’s create effective Nodes of Resistance...."
