From Stadt Wand Kunst: With rock music in his ears, a mixture of chocolate smell and Montana Can’s varnish in his nose, and sweat on his skin, the 38-year-old and his long-time friend David Leitner spent three days feverishly at work. From day one, the rather quiet Neckarvorlandstrasse in the industrial area was transformed into a place of pilgrimage for street art enthusiasts, attracted by the ease with which NYCHOS created its own universe on a 15 meter high wall. The speed and the intoxication brought NYCHOS to graffiti and spray cans as a teenager – and have not let go since today. Canvas or facade – his answer is clear. Especially the big walls can keep up with his pace and his ideas. “I can only work as fast as my head thinks with the spray can.” Read it all here.

Blending themes of morbid corporeality with the colorful, hyper-loony aesthetic descended from comics and cartoons, Nychos has developed a unique style that performs with powerhouse effect whether on the street or in the gallery.

Raised in a traditional Viennese hunting family, death and dissection were daily business for Nychos. The proximity to animal viscera had a profound effect on him psychologically and visually – he now explores the theme of dissection in his art, pushing it to playful extremes. In Nychos’ world, SpongeBob has a skeleton, people live inside rabbits and there is always something wicked underneath. Pumped up on the visual adrenaline of comics, heavy metal and graffiti, Nychos’ work reflects the immense energy and technical focus necessary to produce work on the massive scale he has reached on the streets.

Colliding style and subject matter, Nychos slices up animals and innocent childhood characters with unflinching graphic precision. His work confronts the viewer with wicked insistence, using the shock of cartoon violence as a vehicle for exploring subtler themes of mortality and temporality. Nychos pays homage to these deathless cartoon heroes by peeling them open and giving them human substance. His artwork reflects the psychology of an art scene in which creations are sometimes swept away as soon as created. Nychos also uses subtle imagery such as plastic in an orca’s belly, weaving political commentary seamlessly into his pieces.

Using delicious color-scapes and wild, fuming lines to create his characters – whether with paintbrush or spray can – Nychos works with unmatched dynamism. His command over his tools indicates a work ethic that promises only more staggering output from this artist. Nychos’ paintings and drawings have been exhibited in galleries worldwide, including six solo exhibitions (Turino, Detroit, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Paris) in the past two years alone. These pieces serve as unique compliments to his massive public works that give character to cities all over the world.

“Follow the leaders is a critical reflection on our inertia as a social mass. Representing a social stereotype associated with power compound businessmen who run the global social spectrum. I worked with a great team of people that have helped me to realize this project.”

Isaac Cordal is sympathetic toward his little people and you can empathize with their situations, their leisure time, their waiting for buses and even their more tragic moments such as accidental death, suicide or family funerals. The sculptures can be found in gutters, on top of buildings, on top of bus shelters; in many unusual and unlikely places.

Nowadays this installation is more known as “Politicians discussing global warming”. A name Isaac Cordal support: “Popularly known as “Politicians discussing global warming”. Berlin, 2011. Young people is striking climate change in every corner of the globe today. Let’s join them!.”

"CDU, CSU und SPD lassen alle Hemmungen fallen. Sie planen #Massenüberwachung auf gleich drei Ebenen: Telekommunikations-, Autokennzeichen- und Biometriedaten. Die alten und neuen riesigen Datenhalden sollen mit „automatisierter Datenrecherche und -analyse“ durchkämmt werden dürfen. Staatliches Hacken soll ebenfalls ausgeweitet werden.

Der Koalitionsvertrag, den die schwarz-schwarz-rote Regierung abschließen will, strotzt so vor Überwachungsvorhaben, dass jeder Einzelne betroffen sein wird. Ob man im Netz kommuniziert, Auto fährt oder Fotos mit Gesichtern ins Netz stellt: All das soll massenhaft aufgezeichnet und bei Bedarf ausgewertet werden.

Und nicht nur die massenhafte Überwachung und Ausweitung der Nutzung von Staatstrojanern soll kommen, vielmehr wollen Christ- und Sozialdemokraten den Paradigmenwechsel: Informationelle Selbstbestimmung soll auf den Scheiterhaufen, Datennutzung und der ganze „KI“-Quatsch sollen Priorität bekommen."
