It was illegally transporting Ukrainian agricultural production from Russian-occupied Ukrainian Crimea.
The vessel's owner was under Ukrainian sanctions and kept changing the name and formal beneficiaries of the vessel to bypass sanctions.
The vessel arrived to Odesa under the flag of an African country to take a shipping of steel pipes.

In Russia’s Kamchatka region, authorities had promised to open a new hospital building, but once the "special military operation" began, the entire budget was redirected to it. Now ordinary Russians have to receive treatment in a hospital with drafts, warped floors, mold, clogged toilets, worn-out equipment, and crumbling walls.
War is obviously more important to Putin than the well-being of his people.

Sea drones struck the Russian "shadow fleet" tanker Dashan in the Black Sea.
The vessel, flying the flag of the Comoros, was sailing in Ukraine’s exclusive economic zone en route to the port terminal Novorossiysk.
The tanker suffered critical damage and is reportedly out of operation.
It is reported that the approximate value of such a tanker is $30 million, while a single voyage could carry petroleum products worth around $60 million.
