Rush hour in the front yard! Stepped out on the porch today and caught five hummingbirds swarming the feeder setup all at once.

I was out practicing tracking skills on a group of Barn Swallows yesterday, not able to get any good shots. But this Little Egret standing in front of reeds just before sunset seems to trigger a peaceful mood.

During a visit in Berlin i was strolling with a college on Tempelhoferfeld and we did some Photos. I has some luck to take this picture of a common kestrel on a sign for the protection of another bird, the skylark.
It is funny @GummiQ@mastodon.social has very similar photos, most probably from the same individual.

I was so excited to spot a Pacific Reef Heron two days ago at Quanzhou Xiaozuo Town. But my mood changed that evening when I was learning more about this heron.
According to Wikipedia: In New Zealand, the Pacific Reef Heron has the conservation status of “Nationally endangered”. It has been classified as “Regionally Critical” in the Wellington Region.
