The hiker is approaching a rise, along which there are some protruding sandstone knobs; we can't see over the rise to what's on the other side. The sky is dark blue and full of puffy clouds.

We were hiking in NY, about five miles north of the Hudson, when the trail crossed the road at this store. Enjoying a cold drink in the parking lot, we were approached by a stranger who'd never met a thru-hiker before. She met us 10 miles away with food and drinks and then took us to dinner and offered to take us home and wash our clothes and let us get a shower. #TrailMagic #hiking
