Bordure ensanglantée 🩸

Diacrisia sannio est un papillon de nuit...diurne. Les femelles sont plutôt orange et les mâles jaune pâle.
Présent dans tous les milieux herbeux, sur tout le territoire français.
Deux générations par an, en mai et septembre.

Papillon de la légende, aux ailes antérieures orange avec des nervures rouge. Les ailes postérieures, partiellement cachées, sont orange clair avec de gros points noirs. L’ abdomen est orange clair rayé de noir. Au soleil, il est posé sur une brindille sur un fond coloré par les herbes, pierres et arbustes environnants.

Any entomologists around? I can’t figure out what this beetle larva is. It’s really short and chubby. I took the photo in the Alicante area (Spain) in January.

¿Algún entomólogo en la sala? No consigo identificar esta larva de escarabajo. Es muy corta y rechoncha. La he fotografiado en la zona de Alicante (España) en el mes de enero.

Irgendwelche Entomologen hier? Ich kriege einfach nicht raus, was das für eine Käferlarve ist. Sie ist ganz kurz und pummelig. Hab sie im Januar in der Gegend von Alicante (Spanien) fotografiert.

La belle et la bête 🧌

L' ascalaphe soufré (Libelloides coccajus), en forme larvaire et à l'état d'imago. La larve, lucifuge, vit sous les pierres et mettra 2 ans avant de se transformer en adulte volant dont la vie, elle, ne durera que quelques mois.
A voir au sein des milieux secs, thermophiles.

Adulte d' ascalaphe, avec ses grandes antennes terminées en massue et ses ailes blanche, noire et jaune richement nervurées, il ressemble à un papillon. Il est posé verticalement sur une herbe verte, avec ses ailes repliées le long de son corps.
Larve marron, ovoïde, avec le corps recouverts de petits "piquants". Ses mâchoires sont démesurées, et perpendiculaires à la tête...on dirait deux peignes. Elle est posée sur une pierre calcaire claire.
