Llevo varios días bicheando en esto del #fediverso y ando bastante asombrada de no haber sabido antes de su existencia.
A modo de #presentación decir que suelo usar las redes en modo "voyeur": busco información interesante (o simplemente pasar el rato y dejarme sorprender) y no suelo postear mucho; así que no esperéis demasiado contenido por mi parte, pero si algun que otro like (se dice así por aquí?).
Estoy empezando a aprender cositas de #python #git #pandas #sql y #data en general. Cuanto más aprendo más veo que no tengo ni idea de nada, pero me gusta leer tips&tricks y artículos (nivel principiante).
Me gusta #cocinar, pero me gusta aún más comer así que si tienes #recetas o recomendaciones de #restaurantes en #Madrid (o cualquier otra ciudad) serán más que bienvenidas.

Right as we speak a copy of one of my large audio projects is made to a mechanical HDD. I ask myself why technology has not evolved in a way that single consumer grade drives can take the TB of data they hold in at speeds that are proportional to their size.
It takes 10 minutes for a puny 100GB to be transferred at about 160MB/s from the M.2 SSD to the mechanical spinner which still rotates at that lousy 7200RPM.
My Ultrawide SCSI Fijitsu HDD on my A4000T rotated at 10.000RPM! That HDD is from the last century!!!
IT still works!
If HDD companies put in the proper research we may not be having 20.000RPM drives on servers, because of mechanical limits, but we should have had 10.000 rpm drives now for consumer grade mechanical HDDs.

From 2019 to at least mid-2022, Tesla employees used an internal messaging system to share "sometimes highly invasive videos and images recorded by customers' car cameras," according to a lengthy Reuters report based on interviews with nine former Tesla employees.
Although Tesla says its in-car cameras are "designed from the ground up to protect your privacy," today's Reuters report described employees as having easy access to the cameras' output and sharing that freely with other employees….
