It was misty but we ignored the light rain forecast and hit the trail. We were right, it didn't rain, just mist. Kengo walked the longest since his surgeries for 80 minutes.
The creek was full of water from the hurricane rain.

Many beaches and dunes are allowed to be abused as roads in Australia. This is hostile to wildlife, shorebirds and pedestrians
"Associate professor Craig Styan has been looking at how the beach is used and has surveyed a number of beachgoers. He said while there was no level of driving on the beach that had zero environmental impact, it posed a difficult management question."
"It's almost a paradox … the reason for going is because it's a natural environment, but you being there potentially impacts on some of those natural values."

Then up pass behind and ridge to 3250m point, offering expansive views of the District. Moist SW-W side of Beartooth Plateau, gets much more ❄️ than E of the crest.
