Sundance and Otter crushed it on our 35km hike up to his 3365m pass. Used the Lakefork Canyon approach, start 2200m. Never tired, good w other dogs we passed down low ๐๐ฝ. Forest floors on SE-W aspects are very dry but tundra above 3000m still moist. Not for long, warm/dry 14C NW wind up top. 31C when we returned to the 2200m start. #Mondog #MonochromeMonday It was hot, up to 94f/34c although humidity was 40%. When clouds covered the sun briefly, we had some yard time. #Monochrome certainly masks the real heat. Have a good week, everyone.
We head back home today after a fun and adventurous week on the Big Island. Indy got see so much from sea level to almost 14,000ft. We took a hike out to Lake Wai'au, which sits at 13,020ft and is the only alpine lake found on the Hawaiian islands.
