Woke up this morning thinking I was late again. The clock on my side table read just past 07:30, so I sprang into motion. But when I stepped into the rest of the house, I realized it was actually an hour earlier. Same thing happened yesterday. I’ll have to look into that today.
I’ve got one of those little atomic clocks on the side table—supposed to adjust automatically for daylight saving time. But it didn’t. You’d think a clock with a miniature nuclear reactor inside would be more sophisticated. Just kidding, of course. I know it’s not splitting atoms—it just receives periodic updates from a national atomic time source. No fusion involved, just a quiet handshake with Colorado.
