The Snow Walker
- Based on a Farley Mowat short story, this Canadian survival drama follows an arrogant bush pilot whose plane crashes in the unforgiving Arctic wilderness of the Northwest Territories in 1953. He is forced to rely on the survival skills and knowledge of a young, sickly Inuit woman who was a passenger on his plane. The movie explores themes of survival, cultural exchange, and the pilot's personal transformation as he learns to respect the land and the Inuit way of life. The film's authenticity is enhanced by the casting of Annabella Piugattuk, a young Inuit actress who portrays the Inuit woman and who, in real life, lives a traditional Inuit lifestyle.
