Cretan bananas are small, sweet, and aromatic, grown naturally without any pesticides on the island of Crete. They are available to purchase throughout the island and in some places on the mainland. I was lucky to stay where the owner grew them in his backyard.

This initiative calls to require publishers that sell or license #videogames to consumers in the European Union (or related features and assets sold for videogames they operate) to leave said videogames in a functional (playable) state.

Specifically, the initiative seeks to prevent the remote disabling of videogames by the publishers, before providing reasonable means to continue functioning of said videogames without the involvement from the side of the #publisher.

The initiative does not seek to acquire ownership of said videogames, associated intellectual rights or #monetization rights, neither does it expect the publisher to provide resources for the said #videogame once they discontinue it while leaving it in a reasonably functional (playable) state.

Otherworldly rock formations at Sarakiniko Beach on Milos during dusk. The white volcanic rocks, sculpted by wind and water over time, have also earned it the nickname 'Moon Beach'. It’s one of Milos’ most popular spots, not only for its unique appearance but also for the cliffs that attract cliff jumpers.

As the sun begins to set, most of the crowds tend to leave. This, combined with the low-angle light then, that beautifully accentuates the textured surface of the rocks, makes the experience even more magical and immersive than during the day. Since our apartment was nearby, we ended up spending almost every sunset here during our stay on Milos – and it never got old!

La Basilica di San Petronio ⛪ for #fotovorschlag "Unvollständig" / "Incomplete"

The Basilica of San Petronio is the largest church in Bologna, the fourth largest in Italy and the sixth largest in Europe. It's had a long and complicated history and a lot of time and money went into its construction. Construction started on the 7 June 1390 and in 1514 when they were getting around to the construction of the dome they decided it was too big, complicated and costly. According to legend, Pope Pius IV halted the "megalomaniac dream" and instead encouraged the construction of the Archiginnasio of Bologna - and its never been finished since! ✨

I made this photograph close to the conclusion of early morning photography in Trogir, Croatia. We arrived in the old town on the island before sunrise and photographed the nearly deserted narrow, cobblestone streets, the architecture, and a few people who were out early, getting the town ready for the coming onslaught of visitors. Dating back to the 11th century, Katholiko is considered the oldest monastery on Crete. Located in a deep gorge, it offers impressive views, especially when approached via the scenic trail from the coastal village of Stavros to Avlaki Cove. While this route is diverse and adventurous, it’s also long and includes some challenging sections. For a shorter and more accessible option, the monastery can also be reached via a trail from Gouverneto Monastery.
