Die RIDENS barg 3 Menschen aus dem Wasser und nahm 12 Menschen von dem Boot an Bord, die gerettet werden wollten, und eine leblose Person. Auch einem mit dem Helikopter eingeflogenen ärztlichen Team gelang es nicht die Person zu reanimieren - das 8. Todesopfer in diesem Jahr.

Die Überlebenden wurden von der SNS276 Notre-Dame des Flandres der SNSM an Land gebracht. Die RIDENS überwachte das Boot mit noch ca. 80 Personen auf dem Weg nach #UK.

⚫ In weniger 24 Std. sind beim Versuch, von #Frankreich aus über den Ärmelkanal #UK zu erreichen, 2 Menschen ums Leben gekommen.

In der Nacht von Mittwoch auf Donnerstag wurden CROSS Gris-Nez mehrere abgehende Boote gemeldet. Die RIDENS überwachte darum ein 23:30 von Dunkerque gestartetes Boot mit 40 Pers. auf dem Weg nach Großbritannien.

Als das Boot um 3:30 zurückkehrte, um vor Gravelines auf See weitere Menschen an zu Bord nehmen, kam es zu einem Zwischenfall.

I think I figured out what is so annoying about #onlineSafetyAct - #ofcom has written all its' docs assuming you are complicated bespoke service with dedicated staff to do "legal stuff". There's no pre-done, "just you use this" for perfectly standard, ordinary, foreseeable cases.

We shouldn't be arguing about "is every spammer who emails me porn a 'user' of my email service".
