Earlier I crossed over a large highway and the train tracks that run parallel to each other.
Hoevelaken has an interesting station just outside town. This infrastructure has abundant bicycle and car parking facilities. A dedicated lazily sloped walking and cycling bridge connects the two.
Almost got in an accident on the cycle-lane.
I was standing in the middle, looking into the void as it was filling with birds, while she came roller-skating towards me in an expert like ish fashion. She alerted me by laughingly saying "tuut tuut!", giving me a near heart attack before jumping out of the way. Wholly unnecessary.
No bikes were involved. Yet the infrastructure worked its magic of both of us feeling safe.
Living in 'rural' Denmark I miss this so much.

- Moved the content of my StorageBox to my FreeBSD ZFS
- Migrated and cancelled a CPX42 VPS instance
- Migrated and cancelled a CAX21 VPS instance
One more CX23 is currently in the process of being virtualized on my Proxmox cluster.
The Mastodon instance burningboard.net is still running there as cloud instances. But the price of those resources will only increase by ~4€/Month and I don't want to migrate it again (Just moved on the current system in December 2025)
So in the end, the Hetzner bill will be considerably lower in the future, since I reduced my infrastructure footprint by a lot and consolidated things on my bare metal servers in a CoLo datacenter 🙂
