Austria-Hungary, backed by the German Empire, responded with a harsh ultimatum to teach Serbia a lesson. Serbia's ally Russia was not amused and soon, more and more allied countries were pulled into the conflict and the First World War was in full swing. Thank goodness we all learned our lesson from that! 🙄
