This account, this corner of the fediverse, has become one of the places I let those questions be noisy in public. What does healing mean when the conditions that harmed you are not gone, only rearranged into more respectable shapes? What actually happens inside a counselling relationship when disability or neurodivergence is present but unnamed, or misnamed, or politely ignored? How do we begin to notice the ways power and unspoken norms travel through even the most well-intentioned helping professions? How do we hold culture as something we are constantly creating and being created by, something we may need to grieve and interrogate and occasionally celebrate, often all at once, sometimes in the space of a single conversation?

I keep circling back to the interior labour of this work. The slow, repetitive practice of building emotional regulation when your nervous system's default setting is red alert. The awkwardness of learning self-compassion when sharp self-criticism has been your most reliable survival tool. The moments that feel like failure because you find yourself reacting in an old way, when in reality this is precisely how recovery moves, looping back on itself, revisiting old ground with slightly different eyes. The way trauma and joy can sit shoulder to shoulder in the same hour, the same therapy session, the same breath, and how unnerving and holy that can feel.

Rauch and Ansari suggest that silence can be deliberate and strategic, a form of self-regulation rather than withdrawal, a boundary rather than an absence. I think about this in relation to the freeze response, to the moments in my own history when going quiet was not giving up but holding on. The body stills because there are no safe words yet. Sometimes the silence is the story. And learning to hear it as such, to receive it without rushing to fill or fix it, is one of the things I am still practising, in music and in therapy and in the ordinary, unglamorous dailiness of trying to stay present in a life that sometimes arrives all at once.

I am not arriving anywhere with a finished theory of how any of this is supposed to work. I am coming, again and again, with fragments and questions and a stubborn intention to tell the truth as I understand it in the moment I am writing. That truth is often partial, often shifting. My understanding of myself, of trauma, of disability, of care, keeps moving, and I want it to. I would rather be inconsistent and alive to new information than seamless and rigidly wrong.

If you are still reading, you are already participating in something I care about. A space that treats complexity as ordinary rather than excessive. Where being too much is not an accusation but raw material. Where intense feeling and rigorous thought are both welcome at the same table. Where healing is not a linear journey toward a fixed destination but something more like learning to live inside unresolved chords without pretending they have resolved. Where music is both metaphor and method, both a way of speaking about change and a way of practising it in the body.

True silence does not exist. What we call silence is simply what we have not yet learned to hear. The fullness of life in quieter tones. The heartbeat of thought. The whispered rhythm of resilience. The steady murmur of healing is underway. And when we learn to tune into the music between the notes and into the truth held in breath, we do more than survive. We begin to sing again. This time, in a voice that is entirely our own.

I am not here to introduce myself so much as to keep turning up alongside you. To keep writing from the middle of things, not only from the rare polished moments that look good in hindsight. To keep noticing the small, ordinary, unglamorous ways humans find their way back to themselves, even inside systems that were never set up with them in mind. If any of these threads brush against something in your own story, then you are part of the imagined audience I write towards. And maybe, in a slow, imperfect, occasionally dissonant way, part of the choir that is still learning how to hear itself.

Does #capitalism still deliver, or does it only destroy our living space for #profit?

Anyone who is not completely blind can see the slope is getting steeper. We are like on the Titanic. The iceberg is right ahead. Everyone stares at it like a deer in headlights. Frozen. Or weirdly fascinated. No one moves.

Capitalism does not even need #democracy. It runs just fine in #China. The #rich get richer at breathtaking speed. They gain more power every day. Meanwhile, many people are exploited. Some even go hungry.

#Infrastructure falls apart where it brings no profit. Gains are privatized. Losses are shared by everyone. Capitalism works great for arms races and wars. It also works great for rebuilding after. Only #peace seems to bring too little profit.

#Diseases without profitable drugs are ignored. Human suffering does not always sell well. But social-media #algorithms that shake democracy? Very profitable. Public goods, #privacy, data protection, #ethics — all side characters. Hard to monetize. The #future and sustainability also feel optional when today’s shareholder payout boosts #power and profit.

Why do we believe that people driven by greed and contempt will build a better future? Maybe #humanity does not really care about democracy or ethics. Maybe it only cares about #consumption. Ads promise that buying things will make us #happy. And of course, anyone against capitalism should throw the first #smartphone.

Running water, electricity, full supermarkets — all nice. Until you notice the food is packed with sugar and salt. Fresh fruit and vegetables carry poison. The oceans are overfished. The fish comes with #microplastics as a bonus. Wild animals vanish, pushed out by humans. Only farm animals multiply by the millions. They #suffer. #Nature breaks.

This story does not feel like it has a happy ending. Not if we keep scrolling and call it progress.

War is Silicon Valley's new business

Founders Fund, Thiel’s $17 billion flagship company, took Anduril from a valuation of $1 billion to $30.5 billion. It was the first institutional investor in Palantir and SpaceX, which are Thiel and Musk’s respective “crown jewels”. Palantir’s quarterly revenue now exceeds $1 billion, up 53% thanks to government contracts.

1789 Capital was founded by Thiel’s confidants and recently acquired by Donald Trump Jr. It has grown from $150 million to over $1 billion. It directs tens of millions towards certain areas of Musk’s empire: SpaceX (satellites and orbital dominance) and xAI (Artificial Intelligence for military purposes).

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), through its “American Dynamism” fund, supports defence technology and what it calls the “builders of the American State”. Andreessen rallied Silicon Valley’s billionaire class to support Trump’s 2024 campaign.

Smaller giants such as 8VC and General Catalyst reinforce the model. 8VC poured $300 million into Anduril; General Catalyst led several hundred million and some billion dollar fundraisers.

The European trap

By mid-2025, the first effects of privatised sovereignty were already being felt across Europe. In Rome, Italian defence officials moved to integrate Elon Musk’s Starlink into military communications.

In Berlin, Rheinmetall and Anduril expanded their joint venture to deploy swarms of autonomous drones for NATO. The German variants of the drones still run on Californian code. Musk broadcasts live with Alice Weidel of the AfD, endorsing the German far right while simultaneously providing signal transport capabilities to NATO.

In London, the NHS (National Health Service) has signed a £330 million contract with Palantir to organise 50 million patient records. Meanwhile, a £1.5 billion defence partnership ties Britain to Palantir’s artificial intelligence systems.

In France, the Palantir Platform has been adopted by the Ministry of the Interior to carry out anti-terrorism and predictive policing analyses. Anduril Systems (EU Frontex Programmes) are being evaluated as an integration of border surveillance and drones.

None of these decisions were made following any real public debate. Little information has appeared in the mainstream media. The overall picture confirms the systematic “outsourcing” of European sovereignty to American digital oligarchs whose ideology openly undermines democracy. Control is being ceded with every contract signed.

The real problem with AI-generated artworks...

First of all, I would like to assure you that I am completely open to and enthusiastic about #technology. I don't believe that Pandora's box can be closed again. However, #AI will change our #society forever, and I #fear that no one is aware of the real implications.

A major problem with AI is interpersonal alienation. With every #online #communication, I can no longer be sure whether I am even talking to a #human being, and if so, how much AI that person is using. AI #advertising even shows us how to score points with the perfect AI responses during #dating. You can have the other person screened by AI and then respond perfectly to their wishes and hobbies. But is the other person even real anymore, or do they just want to manipulate me for quick pleasure and then throw me away?

Even when friends show me their #artwork, it could always contain AI. The perfect vacation photos or the painted picture. Even at #school, I no longer know whether the presentation is real or generated by AI. In the past, you could copy something, but you still had to make the effort to find good material. Today, AI does all the work, and I no longer know whether the funny introduction or the punchline is even real. Assuming that this is all real and true work, then I can no longer appreciate it because I consider it to be AI. This totally alienates me from my friends.

Our #society is based on understanding and interpersonal intimacy. To find your place in society, you need #feedback but also #acceptance. But if everyone optimizes themselves to the max with the help of AI, what is there left to accept? This will make society cold and apathetic, and more than “you have tried your best” is no longer possible. If someone does have a genuine flash of inspiration or develops something groundbreaking, everyone will just shrug their shoulders because they suspect it's the next AI #hype. This makes it impossible to reveal oneself to others or to understand them, which destroys a fundamental human requirement.

Before the AI era, #art was a form of communication for which words were insufficient. #Music, in particular, has the power to touch your heart. But today, I always find myself wondering: isn't this AI music designed to trigger these emotions in me in order to manipulate me, and isn't there actually a real musician expressing their heartbreak in this #song? In future films, I won't be able to tell whether humans were involved in writing the script at all, or whether humans even wrote the #lyrics for the songs on the new album in the charts.

We will be trapped in a #matrix where it doesn't matter whether you take the red or blue pill. Either something is clearly AI, or you can't be sure how much AI is in it. We simply won't be able to tell anymore. This is exactly what is intended. People are already falling in #love with AI or having #therapy sessions with it. The corporations at the forefront of AI want precisely this #dehumanization in order to #control us more easily and turn us into mindless consumer victims. #SiliconValley #ideology seeks immortality in artificial bodies, with the future of #humanity playing only a subordinate role as a means to that end.
