The problem is that the U.S. Attorney General can be fired by the President.
That’s the issue, because even if someone wanted to do their job properly and pursue action against Donald Trump — unlike Pam Bondi — the President could simply fire them.
We really need to update our Constitution.
A government that attacks freedom of the press is acting against its own Constitution. That is not democracy. That is a step toward fascism. In a free country, leaders must be held accountable. If they break the rules, they must be removed.
