As the end of summer approaches, so does hurricane season for any folk in the southeast. This was a former hotel and bar, with a fitting name, that got taken out a few years ago by a disaster storm.

Cette grosse bille verte n’est ni un œuf, ni une bulle, ni un étrange bonbon sous-marin. 🟢

C’est Valonia ventricosa, une algue marine dont chaque sphère correspond à… une seule cellule géante.

Elle peut mesurer plusieurs centimètres, contenir de nombreux noyaux et possède une organisation interne bien plus complexe que son apparence de bille de verre ne le laisse penser.

La nature aime parfois travailler en format XXL.
