Ich bin überzeugt: Fotoverwaltungssoftware sollte Metadaten immer direkt in den Bilddateien speichern – plattform- und softwareübergreifend nutzbar.
Ob Gesichterkennung, Beschreibungstext, Kategorien oder manuelle Tags – all diese Infos gehören nicht nur in eine Datenbank, sondern auch als Metadaten direkt ins #Bild (EXIF/XMP/IPTC etc.).
Ich habe im Laufe der Jahre zwei Programme intensiver genutzt:
Damals unter Windows: #Picasa (RIP). Heute unter Linux: #Digikam.
Jetzt überlege ich, auf eine serverbasierte Lösung umzusteigen – aber immer bleibt dieselbe Frage:
Wie #portabel sind meine Daten, wenn die Software ausfällt oder ich wechseln will?
Eine Metadatenstrategie, die auf offene Standards setzt, erleichtert Backups, Migration, parallele Nutzung und langfristige Verfügbarkeit.

The events of the past weeks have again upped the urgency of moving away from the US tech cloud. After forever Google and 18 years GitHub this is hard for me.

Okay, here's something that is killing my Forgejo runner experiment: I need the perfect container image. The ones I have tried so far are missing one thing or another, and it's taking me a while to deal with that.
So, instead of trying to build my own image, let me ask the hive mind if anyone knows of a single *reliable* container image that has all of the following *already* installed: Python, NodeJS and Docker CE (or Podman).
And no, I'm not looking for a container image built buy a random guy for their own personal use. That guy could be me. I really want something that is supported as part of a larger project.
My sanity thanks you.
What is your preference between Keycloak or Authentik?
Nextcloud, this is kind of assholey. No, I don't "value low cost over root access to the machine." I value my time and my data. I don't have the knowledge to manage security threats to my own machine (therefore pretty much all of my family's data), opened to the Big Wide Internet, and I enjoy the fact that the environment (e.g., SQL+nginx etc.) is set up and managed by my host, so I don't have to become a sysadmin to have a low-budget, self-hosted dropbox.
*Edit*: Nextcloud has been great and also a huge hassle. Upgrading is always (ALWAYS) a multi-hour or multi-day process for me, and there are constant headaches with little things that don't work (e.g., authentication with my mobile sync app, for some reason). I'm already considering paying #proton for some stuff, so I think in about February, if I can't get my major NC hassles fixed, I'll just ditch it once and for all and use Proton Drive, which seems secure and easy to use, even though it's not #FOSS. I really don't have time to go get a second degree in systems administration right now.

Can anyone recommend a tool that integrates a Kanban (or something else) board with a repo properly? So I can attach commits, PRs etc. to a specific task for example?
Especially in a #godot context, because I need #git lfs. I've tried 1Dev, but LFS is locked behind EE and I'm now trying #Forgejo. #selfhosted would be awesome though. Azure DevOps or a Jira instance might be a little "too much" for a team of ~5 people, right? Any experiences?
