SparkyLinux 8.4 is out — and 32-bit support is back.
Sparky dropped i686-pae images last year after Debian discontinued them. User demand changed that. The restored 32-bit edition ships as lightweight Openbox and CLI images for older hardware.

Für mich wäre es eher @shiftphones mit #Mobian. Ich bin mit Android nie warm geworden und bleibe lieber bei einem "klassischen" #Linux, idealerweise #Debian. Es soll wohl mit #SHIFT6mq mehr oder weniger funktionieren ("2ⁿᵈ tier"):

Ich befürchte das dieses in Zukunft noch häufiger passieren wird.
Mit #Debian wird er wohl laufen.
Im Gegensatz zu #Ubuntu und co lässt sich die #Distribution recht klein zusammen stellen.
Ein grafischer Augenschmaus wird das allerdings nicht.
Statt die Funktionalität im Blick zu haben wird leider bei Ubuntu und co lieber auf #Design gelegt.
Der #LXDE Desktop benötigt z.B. nur 45 MB RAM und nur 16 MB auf der Festplatte.
Als CPU reicht ein Pentium II mit 266 MHz

well, it’s more like a life path. I started out with Alpine (very lean but hard to configure), tried Ubuntu (too much of a walled garden feeling), Manjaro (sexy, but breaks with almost every update) and finally settled on Debian. Boring, stable, dependable.

💻 PC-Sicherheit für Linux: firejail 🔐
Freund*innen technischer Sicherheit: nutzt Ihr für Eure Linux Rechner auch firejail (oder ähnliches)?
Das Programm entdeckte ich zufällig vor ein paar Tagen, habe ein bisschen dazu recherchiert und es dann installiert.
Firejail baut um jedes Programm einen Schutzkäfig (sogenanntes Sandbox-Prinzip).
Das verringert, wenn doch mal Schadsoftware a.d. Rechner gelangt, die Angriffsfläche massiv.
Es gibt im Alltag ein paar kleine Änderungen, so kann ich zB aktuell keine Dateien aus dem Browser direkt in einen Unterordner speichern, sondern nur in den allgemeinen Download-Ordner und muss anschließend die Datei von dort manuell in den gewünschten Ordner ziehen, aber das ist mir der Sicherheitszugewinn wert.

Das Flashen von ESP32 ausgerüsteten Funkmodulen kann auch mit dem Chromium Browser statt Chrome Browser erfolgen. Chromium ist für ein klein wenig mehr besseren Datenschutz als Chrome geeignet. Ich nehme ihn aber einzig und allein nur für den Flashvorgang. Das liegt an der Benutzung von Webserial, d.h. Benutzung der USB-Verbindung von Browser auf PC zu ESP32-Modul im Funkgerät. Sonst ist #LibreWolf + Addons oder Tor Browser angesagt auf #Debian.
Ich versuche das Flashen demnächst mal mit Webserial auf LibreWolf. Angeblich soll das schon in den neuesten Firefox Ausgaben enthalten sein.

Von Duden hatte ich frühervmal die Dudenbibliothek als *.deb (gerade überprüft, die gibt es immer noch)
Da konnte man sich die diversen WöBü dazu kaufen, das Teil lief damals tadellos.
Gotta keep Firefox/Mozilla even if it is going downhill fast. Vivaldi and Firefox + variants are the only browsers I will use or recommend. Hopefully, we can steer Firefox and Chromium in the right direction before it is too late.
