Porque teño que recoñecer (sen vergonza ningunha) que estou completamente pillado/namorado de Mastodon. Sinto esa ilusión das primeiras semanas de relación. Sabedes? Teño elefantiños facéndome cóxegas no estómago.

Can I follow friends on #BlueSky from #Friendica (and specifically from Libranet)? I haven't managed so far. I tried searching for their profile URL with /rss at the end, but nothing is found. I've seen some conversations about this, but couldn't find a way to make it work.

This is why I have been trying to warn about #BlueSky.
BlueSky has just been partially bought by a cryptocurrency company "Blockchain Capital" and appointed a blockchain / cryptocurrency expert to their board:

The board member is a bitcoin researcher involved with NFT analytics.
BlueSky describe the tie-up with Blockchain Capital as a "natural partnership" and says the blockchain company has "a uniquely deep understanding of our decentralized foundation".

Despois de ler bastante sobre ActivityPub (o protocolo que usa o Fediverso) e AtProto (o protocolo que usa Bluesky), non podo evitar pensar que ActivityPub ten a vantaxe de estar xa consolidado e conectando distintas aplicacións, pero para unha app tipo Twitter descentralizada e escalábel está moito mellor deseñado AtProto
Die Version 4.3 bietet vieles, was 2023 an Mastodon und Co. vermisst wurde und #Bluesky groß gemacht hat.
Was ich als technikaffiner Nutzer noch vermisse: Einen Skin, der ein Weiterleiten des Posts (Repost) erlaubt. Das sollte kein Problem mehr sein, da die Repost-Fanatiker mittlerweile bei #Threads sind oder bei #X geblieben sind.
Some people who want to leave #X wonder if #BlueSky is an alternative. 😕
In our petition, we advocate using the decentralized #Mastodon. We do not consider BlueSky to be a sustainable alternative because it is another commercial service that spies on user data to generate customized #advertising with it.
The BlueSky Terms of Service bsky.social/about/support/tos
and Privacy Policy comprise 7100+ words 😡. Nobody reads this; this is not an “informed consent” as required by #GDPR. We see the #universities here as having a duty of care towards their students and employees, whom they must protect from such data collection. Mastodon and the other #Fediverse 🦩 services are much more suitable for university communication.
BlueSky is just another data leech.
