Hi #fediverse! We’re #newhere =) For eight years we’ve run our own #festival in Switzerland using #festinato, a tool we built. It worked very well, so we’re now sharing it with #music, #culture, #arts & #literature festivals.

We’re in closed beta and looking for a few teams to test it with. Built on #odoo, it’s easily extensible. We offer a free plan for small festivals, with fair-priced tiers for larger ones coming soon.

If you’re curious, feel free to get in touch =)

Someone told me that it couldn't hurt to make something like an introduction post, so here it is. I guess you could probably describe me as an ancient old being with many, but not very age appropriate hobbies. I'm not very good at any of them, but that's just my bad luck.

Interests include:
- reading good books, writing bad fanfics and even worse comedy sketches
- crochet, painting, crafts (e.g. building plastic models, making accessories for crochet dolls)
- anime/manga/games
- British comedy
- (mostly old) films and TV shows
- Japanese culture/history/literature
- learning something new about things I'm interested in (and I'm interested in many things)
- collecting various stuff

Also sorry for my terrible English, I'm not a native speaker.

My name is Ben Looper, I'm a software engineer of five years currently living in Houston, TX...but not for much longer!
My wife and I are moving up to Calgary, AB, and I'm taking the opportunity to make some positive changes in my life, one of the first being to write more.

I have a few projects that my ADHD brain bounces between, and I want to begin fearlessly talking about them here, rather than verbal vomiting about them to whatever poor soul asks me about them.

Maybe (hopefully) these smaller updates will cascade into longer, more detailed pieces, but for now I'll be very happy to just share bits and bites, and to engage with others on stuff they're working on.

That last point specifically is what I'm most excited for - I don't have many people in my life that I can full-blown nerd out about this stuff with, and I really hope that I can find a community here to do that with.

I’m currently moving into freelancing, focusing on embedded Linux and Rust, mostly around coaching, consulting and helping teams adopt better systems.

Outside of that I work on open source projects (mainly home automation stuff and some embedded Rust experiments I started myself).

When I’m not coding, you’ll probably find me in the workshop creating sawdust, brewing beer or at the fire brigade.

Still confused about the whole Fediverse setup, but not knowing what to expect can bring the loveliest results.

Hi, I’m Ramses Revengeday (xe/xem, they/them, he/him) - autistic composer, artist, cyberpunk, and certified weirdo with two cats.

I make strange music and strange art, plus whatever weird little side quest my brain decides to spawn next. Sometimes that means music for games, series, documentaries, commercials, or TV stuff. Sometimes it’s just me chasing a sound at 3am because it felt haunted in the right way.

Music-wise, I’m into Drum and Bass, Neurofunk, Dubstep, Techstep, Metalstep, Cinematic stuff, and anything that sounds like a broken machine trying to feel something.

Art-wise, I mostly do XBIN, ANSI, and ASCII - lots of 90s/2000s anime energy, cyberpunk, retro tech, terminal vibes, and digital garbage.
