excellent question! I think that longform federated tools like #Wordpress and #Ghost could attract content creators to the Fediverse, allowing them more control over their audience and the option of enabling premium content for subscribers.

Ghost has a built in system (subscriptions and/or tips) that's really elegant. One of my favorite creators - Molly White - is able to do her fantastic work by asking for donations to her Ghost blog readers...

Good choice to go with a simpler stack if that’s all you need.

There are some Docker images for #Ghost that solve the Node version and package problems, but hosting Docker containers brings alternate complexities.

When I was a kid I was loaned a book by a family friend. In it were all things paranormal and I remember being fascinated with the ghost photos. The one that scared me the most was 'The Spectre of Newby Church', still is a bit unsettling to be honest.
So, this photo is a little bit of a love-letter to the paranormal and to Jack, who loaned me the book. He's no longer with us but his memory lives on. ♥️ (And it wasn't spontaneous combustion as the book would have led me to believe, I really thought adults were going up in flames left right and centre all over the shop) ✨

Why do you say that? After shifting the Disintermedia blog to community-hosted Ghost I have a few grizzles, but overall I'm finding it a great improvement on the bloat of SS.

* hardcoded dependence on;

1) commercial email sender

2) one payments processor

* AP module has to be set up separately (how about a single Docker image that deploys both as an option?)

* no footnotes

There is a Fediverse alternative to Substack called Ghost. It allows you to host blogs and newsletters in a very similar way to Substack, but it has much less problematic management and you can host your own Ghost-powered site if you want to.

the last piece is direct funding via a protocol. #interledger and #GNUtaler are working on that.

Weitere Experimente mit Ghost durchgeführt. Die Anwendung ließ sich mit Dokploy leicht installieren. Wie immer - Teufel im Detail. Email-Konfiguration für User-Mails und Newsletterversand ist ein wenig tricky. Ansonsten ist dieses Publishing-System sehr leicht zu bedienen und die verschiedenen Themes machen einen optisch ansprechenden Eindruck.
