Vor kurzem warnte das BSI vor Captcha-Attacken.
Wer sich aktuell beim Besuch in seiner iCloud bei der URL verschreibt und z.B. "icoud" eintippt, landet vermutlich auf so einer Seite.
Eine ziemlich fiese Nummer, wo es nicht viel braucht, um das Häkchen zu setzen.

If you get a DM saying "call me the Fediverse chick", it's a spam. Don't click the links, but DO report it!
Reports from users are really important, especially if they are about spam DMs because no one else can see the spam except the user.
You can report posts by clicking ⋯ on the post and selecting "Report". When you report it, make sure to select the option to forward the report to the server it came from so that the admin there can delete the spammer's account.
Ich glaube, ich bin an einem Punkt, wo ich alle User, deren Mastodon-User-Id mit `@nicole` beginnt, automatisch sperre.

E-Mail von einem „E-Mail Sicherheitsdienst Deutschland“, daß man angeblich mehrere Tausend E-Mails mit Viren und Malware verschickt hätte.
Habt Ihr natürlich nicht. Ist ein Scam. Nicht auf den Link „Auf Viren scannen“ klicken. Danach habt Ihr möglicherweise tatsächlich einen, und Euer Computer verschickt Viren.
(Betriebssystem ist nicht genannt, aber ich gehe davon aus, daß auf Windows gezielt wird.)
I am here to announce that I have decreased #spam on my web contact form from 1 message every 15 minutes (for months straight) to 0 messages in the last week by adding a "I am a spam bot" radio button.
I am not joking.
No I am not using something like ReCaptcha, I literally just added a radio button to the list.
Ich bin heute schon zweimal auf windige „Casino“-Seiten gestoßen, als ich alte Domains nachgesehen habe. Das eine war eine Firma, die gerettete Lebensmittel anbot, das andere war ein soziales Projekt, das was mit Behinderung zu tun hatte.

Teilt euren Admins mit, dass da gerade eine neue Spamschleuder auftritt. Ich habe die ganze Instanz geblockt. 9 Accounts und fast alle haben nur zu Spam oder komische Newsseiten mit Russlandbezug verlinkt.

Spam bot wave (now over) with multiple accounts - search for hashtag x4 to find them all. Some of them also include auth links to mastodon instances, looks like a phishing attempt or something.
