Is this blcoked by other diaspora servers for some reason, people there can see our content but we can't see their posts. I was sent a link to a post, but doesn't show up here.

I can see your posts from months or years ago but that is about it from societas.online

@jabos I don't think I understood everything - did you say posts here from Societas won't show up in remote servers?

Maybe can you send your posts again in your native language, so I can translate this by my own?

Posts are only federated if the author is connected with somebody on the target pod somehow, so either:

• the author of the post follows somebody on the target pod
• somebody from the target pod follows the author of the post

Comments are visible, posts are not, even if they are public, another federated server is displaying them so it seems the problem is with diaspora-fr.org

The post was meant to show in #joborun which serves as a support channel for the linux-distro and it is not.

@(: aNNa :) blume: Der Pod hat anscheinend Registrierungen wieder offen, und sogar ohne Captcha, was es natürlich noch einfacher macht schnell automatisiert neue Accounts anzulegen.

@Thorsten C: Auch wenn das diaspora-captcha vermutlich nicht das beste ist, wäre es zumindest eine kleine Hürde.

Ja, das Captcha hat so vor 15 Jahren vielleicht noch getaugt um Spam-Registrierungen zu vermeiden. Heutzutage, in Zeiten von AI und advanced Image Recognition, ist es wirklich nur noch eine „kleine Hürde“.

Wann kommt eigentlich die Email-Verifizierung? Das wäre deutlich effektiver…

Nicht ganz - da steckt ein invisible-captcha drin, das zumindest Automaten es erschweren sollte.
Allerdings - ist man einmal registriert (was man ja manuell machen kann), kann man - entweder manuell oder per API ganz viele Comments absetzen.

Meine nächste Idee ist, nur ein Post/Comment pro minute zu erzwingen.

@Thorsten C: Ich weiss nicht, was du da genau eingerichtet hast, aber es scheint nicht zu funktionieren. Ich hab grad per curl 2 user registriert, und das einzige was ich zwischen den 2 requests geändert hab ist der username und die email-adresse ... und ich könnte jetzt den selben curl request noch x mal abschicken um ganz viele user zu generieren.
