🧠I think the cones have gone a bit far now! (There's a third that's mostly hidden on the other side of the horse's head. I wanted to capture the duke and horse looking onto the lovely pattern of the building in front (100 Queen St).

⭐ I couldn't get the full horse because of hoarding hiding some of it and think cropping it even more worked to make the building's patter look more expansive.

➡️ Maybe more background blur would have given more depth.

I know the brain loves to pattern-seek, but I love that I shot this tower few days *before* an unrelated #wikipedia dive told me it was a 15 meter tall combined barometer and #London water Ring Main overflow.

And in a way, a cousin to this #sculpture "Still Water" by Nic Fiddian-Green down on Park Lane

🧠 I don't know which queen this is or if she's a real queen but I thought she looked very dramatic flanked with the lit windows and in a theatrical looking setting.,

⭐ I like the composition with odd numbers.

➡️ Again - have I gone too far with editing? It looked good in lightroom but insta compresses.

Today is Lunar New Year and it is the year of the Fire Horse. I do not have any photos of horses *on* fire (good!), or made *of* fire (which would be cool), so can I interest you in a photo of horses made *with* fire?

Taken over a decade ago, this photo is of a steel sculpture called Grandfather Cuts Loose the Ponies, by artist David Govedare, and it is located at the top of a hill near Vantage, Washington, above the Columbia River. From the interstate, and the parking area at the foot of the hill, it looks like a line of horses running along the top of the ridge. A short hike will bring you up and gives you angles like this from which to admire them.

All my projects are casted in reclaimed and recycled foam found in my neighborhood in Thailand. From discarded packaging to dumped ice boxes in nature, usable foam planks and blocs are cut. This helps cleaning up the environment and no new produced foam is necessary for my projects.

“First Impressions” Artwork, The Rocks, Sydney, NSW, Australia

The sandstone relief sculpture symbolises the origins and settlement of the colony of New South Wales, by depicting elements of Sydney history in the middle of the rocks area. The Rocks is a very popular spot where locals and tourists mingle at the open-air Markets, perusing handmade fashions and street food.

This fairly large sculpture is located at the intersection of Playfair and George Street. It has three sides, with a figure or figures carved into each side. Very popular spot for pictures. Each side represents a particular group of people that established themselves in Sydney early on: The Convicts, The Settlers, and The Soldier.

"First Impressions" was commissioned by the Sydney Cove Redevelopment Authority in 1979.

Felt really good to enjoy another day out and about, staying dry and having some decent light as the sun climbs ever higher in the sky.
Down on Sunderland's River Wear footpath this afternoon, which is also the final stage of the C2C cycle route (if you're doing it from west to east).
The afternoon sunshine warming up one of Ray Lonsdale's sculptures while drawing admiring glances from others passing by.
Based in South Hetton, Co Durham, artist Ray Lonsdale has a number examples of his work gracing the city, usually drawing on the rich historical heritage for inspiration.
This installation is called 'It Says Here' and portrays two shipyard workers having their bait and catching up on all that's happening with a copy of the local newspaper.
