What's a good floorplan tool for macOS?
Not something dumb like Sweet Home 3d or Live Home.
Something that actually works and doesn't cost an arm and a leg...
EVerything I try either costs a fortune, has unintuitive shitty UI or doesn't work at all.
All I want is an easy way to make a floorplan with walls, windows and doors really. A good way to deal with the measurements of those. It shouldn't be an uphill battle to use, or even find, such software!

My #NeoFinder 9.2.1 for #macOS has an improved Map navigation when multiple pins are shown: The Map shows the thumbnail of a pin in a "callout" when you click on it.
If you click into that thumbnail, only that one file will be selected.
That looks pretty cool, and is pretty helpful.

I feel I'm coming up against #Apple and their tactic of forcing upgrades... my Mac now only unlocks using TouchID or my Watch about 40% of the time, forcing me to use my password like a heathen the rest of the time.
I won't go to #macos #Tahoe, glass sucks bad enough on my phone / tablet, I don't want it on my computer as well.

We are always trying to make @Vivaldi better and our latest release is another example of that. This time our focus was on hiding the UI. Why we do that? Because some of you have been requesting a minimal UI and that is what we have now delivered, but with the UI always close and also fully under your control. Try it out and you will understand! It can be accessed from a button in the status bar or through CTRL F11. Hint : Try associating it with fullscreen (F11), for an even better experience! There is a setting for that, of course.
Another function we added is follow tab. Tie together two tabs side by side. Click a link on the left side and view it on the right side. Great for going through search results without having to go back and forth or viewing images or the like.

Having icons in menus on macOS is a good idea. The problem is that in Tahoe we're seeing a bad execution of it. It has way too many icons, they're rendered in very thin strokes and are all devoid of colour.
Windows had this figured out back in Windows 2000. It had icons in *some* menu items, in a clear and legible style and they had colour.
This meant that in Windows 2000 you could orient yourself in menus based on the presence of icons (they sort of worked like “anchors” for your eyes) and between the icons you had both shape and color to guide your eye.
My #NeoFinder 9.2 for #macOS can now edit the text preview for a file in a catalog, using the Inspector.
This is particularly helpful when these were created by the Image Analysis process that uses OCR to grab text from thumbnails. There are sometimes incorrect or unwanted text sections in there.
