First time stacked some photos after 2015. Took 100 photos, aligned them, chose the best 50 frames, and stacked. Alignment was the trickiest part of the whole process.
Taking photos without a star tracker isn't a good idea apparently. I'll take a few second long video tomorrow and stack the frames. Let's see the results.

Collaboration, not competition.
Had a great chat with @daniebeler about @Pixelix, and let him know that 3rd party apps now have full access to Pixelfed's APIs, including features that were previously webUI only.
The official app shouldn't have special powers. Let the people decide, and build for them. ❤️
If you have a Github account, please add it there.
(If not, let me know and I will paste it there for you)
P.s. I'm not yet aware why it was failing, but changing an existing API without a different version is maybe in general not the best idea.
But as a user and as a person who does a lot of bug reports for #pixelfed, #pixelix and #fedilab I would love to see some collaboration and especially no breaking changes in APIs, which should never be done

We just released a new update.
This update includes an important bug fix on the notification screen. Pixelix now also supports pinning of posts.
We also added a setting to enable/disable double tap to like and made some other improvements and bug fixes.
The update is already out on GitHub. Play Store, F-Droid and the App Store will follow soon.

After two and a half years of developing Pixelix and having it as a paid app, we've decided to switch things up and make Pixelix free for everyone.

Ever since the last @Pixelix update, it's been having issues with showing my pixelfed.com account...
I don't know if this is a error of Pixelix, as it worked well before the last update... Or if there's is something happening with the settings of Pixelfed.com...
I took a screenshot of the error, but it's a foreign language to me, one I know nothing of, so hopefully this will make more sense to the people involved...
I have been having some issues with Pixelfed.com for a while now, where several of the browsers that I use for daily stuff just won't show me the Pixelfed site, always some errors... So it could be an error on their side/site, but I don't know who to contact about that... 😔

Pixelix version 5.0.0 with Vernissage support is now available.
This is one of the largest updates we have ever shipped. We refactored a large portion of Pixelix's architecture to support multiple platforms with different feature sets.
Additionally many UI components got a design overhaul.
The APK is available on GitHub.
Play Store, App Store and F-Droid are following soon.

So we are working on Vernissage support in Pixelix. We already adapted the app architecture to support multiple platforms in a clean way. Now we are implementing features step by step.
Already working are:
- Timelines (with liking, bookmarking and replies)
- Trending posts

Now also the profile page is working when using Pixelix with Vernissage. It also shows the banner image if the user has one (also the banners from Mastodon users).
And the liked-posts-page is implemented too.
one weird thing is, both in #pixeldroid and #pixelix –I have to enter the sever and authorize every single time I start the app. It doesn't persist the server URL (pixelfed.social) or the authorisation. Very weird.
Also it seems to open a web view with my Vivaldi android browser, it's not a real app.

Pixelix version 4.4.0 is available on GitHub now!
In this update we are introducing the new floating navigation bar, support for rendering custom instance emojis, the option to display posts in a masonry grid, a new icon set across the whole app, and many UI improvements and bug fixes.

We are already working hard on the next #Pixelix update. There will be some cool new features and multiple bug fixes.
One change is the a new floating navigation bar that takes less space than the old one (Shoutout to @ashmeshedup for the idea). Also top bar and navigation bar are hiding when scrolling to give the interesting content even more space.

This update includes a massive amount of bug fixes: Android widgets are working again. Editing posts is fixed. And many more.

#Phanpy is an awesome Mastodon client that I use on desktop AND mobile (it's seriously that awesome)
#Pixelfed is getting better every day and #Pixelix the Pixelfed client just got a new bugfix release!
And running my own little #gotosocial instance is also a lot of fun.
Really cool stuff and I'm happy to be part of this new approach to social media.
#pixelcat is so good. Such a shame it was abandoned... #pixeldroid isn't as good with mastodon/gts accounts, unfortunately.
