Brown Pelican Charlie Framed Print

This pelican seemed to take a liking to me. It kept following me along the Corpus Christi sea wall, and I kept taking its photo. And for some reason, I started calling it Charlie! Just seemed that my new feathered friend needed a name.
I printed the photo at home and used it as my reference for this drawing

This pelican took a liking to me, it seemed. It kept following me along the sea wall, and I kept taking its photo. And for some reason, I started calling it Charlie! Just seemed that my new feathered friend needed a name. I printed the photo at home and used it for my reference for this drawing and several others. This is the high desert of Northern New Mexico. This scene is within the Wild Rivers Recreation national lands, now known as the Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument, north of Questa. The two levels of landscape are cut by the Rio Grande deep in the gorge.

Large Banyan Trees create a beautiful arched canopy as they line up on each side of the rain slicked road of Almeria Ave located in Coral Gables, Miami.
This black and white photograph captures the beauty of the architectural detail of Coconut Grove's Plymouth Congregational church as vines cover and climb the bell tower and front portion. The church was modeled after the old Spanish missions of Mexico. It marked it's 100 anniversary in 2017. Amazingly the original sanctuary was built by one man, Felix Rebom, and his assistant using nothing more than a hatchet, a trowel, a plumb line and a T-square!

Located on the campus of the University of Chicago, the Bond Chapel was designed by the architects Coolidge and Hodgdon at the end of the Gothic revival period in America. Maggie happily grazes in her meadow that is full of Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes, and lush green grass. In the distance is a weather worn barn with the flag of the Lone Star State painted on the roof. This pale color mare grazes in the wildflowers. I chose the name of Maggie not just because the alliteration with the word meadow, but because the name means ‘Pearl’. This lone horse with cream color tones made me think of the sheen a pearl has. So the name Maggie just fit right with the scene. This mare is a beautiful ‘gem/pearl’ among the Texas wildflowers. You stand in her meadow; you found her.
