it's not possible to disable pull requests on a repository on #GitHub. It means people end up submitting PRs even if the repository is just a mirror or not accepting contributions for some reason. With #Forgejo, it's possible, so #Codeberg supports that

#Gitlab enterprise products fail to provide Conan2 C++ package support, so additional servers, uploads and downloads are required and/or we need to stick to outdated Conan1 packages.

#Codeberg and #forgejo OSS projects have this feature for free (next to other registries, formats and APIs for artifacts). 🥰 👍

Looks like expensive enterprise software is 5 years behind codeberg ... but that can't be.

It's a conspiracy 😁

I cannot figure out what this error is trying to tell me.

```
Failed Dependency (424)!
Sorry, but this page couldn't be served.
"could not obtain repo owner from custom domain"
helix.me.uk
Can anybody help? I've used the tutorial on codeberg for setting up a custom domain, I've made the .domains file and I've edited cloudflares DNS settings. It's not being proxied.
@unfa That would probably have to be `foot`.
Fully native & minimalist Wayland terminal that I use every day. Although minimalist, it has many semi-hidden features like piping scrollback URLs to a fuzzy-find launcher app of choice (e.g. `rofi`, `wofi`, `dmenu`, `fuzzel`, etc...)
Such a productivity boost! Launch URLs from the terminal, no clicking, just using keyboard shortcuts & fuzzy find to select. 🚀
I made a thing for my kiddo, but you might like it too!
Update: added better CLI and automatic word definitions.
Our #CommunitySpotlight presents: @readeck, a simple self-hosted web app that lets you manage bookmarks for articles you want to read. Use the UI to easily group and search your articles, and even transfer content to your #ebook reader for relaxed reading (if you have one).
Just get your browser extension ready, and save interesting content for later.
#Codeberg says hello 😀
If github has no respect for you, don't feed it.
We are performing another round of user interviews for #Forgejo from Wednesday to Friday: If you are a user of #Codeberg or any other Forgejo instance (including self-hosted), consider participating: cloud.splvs.net/apps/calendar/…
I want to love #Codeberg but the site is down way way too often. If I create my own #Forgejo instance would it be more reliable or less?
Is the instability due to the software or just because too many people use that instance?
For hosting of Git-projects there are several #opensource options. The best known is #GitLab, some functionality is not free available though. Other options are @Codeberg and @forgejo and @gitea
There are probably several more. Extra information is welcome.
If you're wondering what #git forge to host your #opensource code project on, the right answer is probably going to be #forgejo. If the right answer was anything else, you probably wouldn't be wondering about it.
forgejo.org/
Don't want to host it yourself? Then #Codeberg is what you're looking for.
If you have an XRechnung/XInvoice (EU Standard), there is a free software viewer for that which just got it’s 1.0 release … :drgn_heart:
Read more on Dragotin’s Blog!
Also if you have #qt knowledge and know how to deal with #xml consider helping. (I’m not very fluent in C++ or QT, apologies)
You can find the source code on Codeberg.
I want to move my GitHub repositories to #CodeBerg and my question is, github seems to have a robust terminal/Cli program. I tried to register for a codeberg account, but they’re accessibility solution for getting around the captcha is to send them an email with registration details. Has anyone else done this? And if you have, and if you got an account, what is their terminal support like on windows?
TIL: When you use #codeberg and/or #forgejo, you can pimp your profile page by creating a repository called .profile (the dot is important) with a single file called README.md in it. Once done, the Markdown in said file will be shown as default content on your profile page. This is going to be fun! codeberg.org/jwildeboer
