#Gitea vs. #Forgejo puzzles me a bit. From the outside, this looks much like a people don't like each other problem.
Gitea is still alive & OSS. Forgejo has 2k+ more commits, looks like that's mostly because they update dependencies like crazy.

I've got them both installed and they still look/feel/work exactly the same.

@Codeberg I remember seeing that page but was unable to find it until you posted it . All the point listed are what make me uneasy with Gitlab / Github. I have setup a forgejo isntance and migrated my project. I had the pleasure to see that the #gitea plugin for #intellij work well with the current #forgejo version. Will finish my setup today and start tinkering around.

A piece of criticism to all code forges I know: why not run #CI on all commits?

A bad commit is a liability. It will break bisect and make debugging miserable.

#ForgejoActions takes it to the extreme and cancels an already running action when I push another change.

I get it - it's too slow and expensive to test them all when pipelines take minutes to run. But you could just pause the old ones until the newest one is finished!

#Docker-#Image von @Codeberg mit der #Plesk Docker-Extension zu installieren ist ein wenig tricky. Plesk kennt nämlich nur den #dockerhub und das lokale Repo. Das aktuelle Image von @forgejo habe ich nun aber doch in Plesk, über den Umweg einer Generierung einer lokalen Image-Datei, installieren können. Nach dem Backup von #Gitea werde ich dann mal eine Migration auf #Forgejo ausprobieren.

Bugfixes for long-standing issues incoming - now deployed to Codeberg!

In Summer 2022 it was discovered that the #Gitea RSS implementation had issues for project feeds which duplicated entries.

With the help of Codeberg's financial support to #Forgejo, this bug is now fixed in the next release and already deployed to Codeberg now.
