I want to move my GitHub repositories to #CodeBerg and my question is, github seems to have a robust terminal/Cli program. I tried to register for a codeberg account, but they’re accessibility solution for getting around the captcha is to send them an email with registration details. Has anyone else done this? And if you have, and if you got an account, what is their terminal support like on windows?

I do have a @Codeberg account, but I really don't remember whether there was a captcha when I did sign up. I need to talk to them. In general, people behind @forgejo which is the Git solution powering Codeberg are very friendly and they listen to our accessibility needs. I'm mentioning some of them so they can chime in an join the discussion. @fnetX @Gusted

Thank you! I was wondering why not go with a magic link via email or similar instead of a captcha. I wasn't super keen on emailing anybody my registration details so it's great they listen! @menelion @Codeberg @forgejo @fnetX @Gusted

Our plan is to get rid of the captcha entirely, but this depends on moderation to detect automated accounts. There is a roadmap here: codeberg.org/forgejo/discussio…

Codeberg does not offer an official cli. There are various community-created workarounds, which could be good enough depending on your needs.

codeberg.org/RobWalt/codeberg-…
gitea.com/gitea/tea

and codeberg.org/Cyborus/forgejo-c… seems to have Windows binaries at least.
