I would like to thank you all for respecting my choice to leave the Google Store. Seeing messages from people joining #FDroid to get the app and sharing their experience with a lot of good feedback made me very happy. What I read most often: F-Droid is easy to use, and the export/import feature works well with #Fedilab.

I use conversions and it works fine.
PS: Conversations is a XMPP client, and is able to support on top really reliable UnifiedPush service.

To be fair, right now this is something I can still do within the corporate agreement I have with my employer. If I'm unsuccessful in continuing to advocate for 3rd party app stores, I could face a situation where I "have to" uninstall because I can't continue to use the fdroid store.
Not everyone has complete freedom of choice in which app stores they use.

- I am already on F-Droid (85%, 1171 votes)
My favorite Mastodon app, Fedilab, is no longer on Google Play, but you can still get it from F-Droid.
You can import your old settings, too. It's easy and only takes a few minutes. I'm not an experienced F-Droid user, but everything went smoothly...

This feature, and especially its support across Fedilab with all its specificities, was really a lot of work, mostly in fixes. But I think we now have something stable. Thanks for your patience.
#Fedilab 3.43.3 has been published! It mostly brings fixes. The custom MarkDown support no longer breaks the instance formatting. It also fixes some mentions and links not opening inside the app. The lost position when coming back should be fixed for all timelines, including #GoToSocial.

ich habe gestern bei #fedilab immer das Problem gehabt, dass ich neue Texte und Antworten verfassen kann, aber jeder Boost, jedes Abspeichern etc. gab einen Error 403 zurück. Muss ich in fedilab was besonderes aktivieren?

I hate Google and the dependency they have created! Our freedom is in danger.
You can find adware apps through their ads, apps that can totally change your launcher and show ads on every click, and it's OK. But they maintain pressure on open-source apps.I just want to leave them!
I only keep my Google dev account for #Fedilab.
You can also get it through #FDroid or the APKs I publish.
If you use fdroid.fedilab.app you get updates immediately.

I am still closely watching crash reports. The idea is not to work on new features while annoying bugs remain unfixed.

As an open source dev for years, I'd like to share how grateful I am for your long support.

I'll never step back from the Fedilab project.
Working directly on Fediverse projects just makes me freer and not dependent on an API. I somehow need that, but I won't give up where you expect regular updates.
I built #FediHood on the #Mastodon API, so you can connect your account with any Mastodon-compatible app, such as #Fedilab.
Fedilab will soon support the extra features at the heart of the project: finding people nearby by city via #OSM, and using #E2EE DMs.
#FediHood is now available!Talk with people near you. A local chat on the #Fediverse where you share only your city, never your exact location. You adjust your timeline with distance and topic filters.
It's in early beta and web only for now. It connects to the whole Fediverse, and you can send #E2EE DMs between FediHood and Holos users. The source code will be published soon. Don't hesitate to share!

#FediHood should be easy to use, with a very simple interface. It fully uses #ActivityPub and is compatible with the #Mastodon API (tested with #Fedilab). It will of course bring extra endpoints related to how it works. The project reuses the combined work from #HolosSocial and #PawFed.
