Das hat eine sehr detaillierte Darstellung von verschachtelten Kommentaren und lädt auch „entfernte“ Inhalte von Instanzen, die deine Instanz nicht direkt in peto hat. Außerdem kannst du da direkt youtube-Links via invidious laden lassen und noch so einige andere „Specials“ einstellen.

Tusky kann es in den Benachrichtigungen nicht anzeigen und das ist ein wenig nervig.

Da quäle ich mich seit Tagen mit der Fedilap-App, um damit auch bei Friendica unterwegs sein zu können, um dann festzustellen, dass es mittels Webinterface (Browser) viel besser auf dem Smartphone funktioniert.

Now that #Mastodon supports quotes, there are three important points to know with #Fedilab

- You can change the default privacy for quoting your messages in Settings>Profile (default anyone can quote you)

- You can customize this privacy for each message (when composing)

- If you don't see the merged Boost/Quote button, make sure that you didn't disable it in Settings > Timelines

I ask for my mother in law. She relies heavily on the the translation feature, because her English isn't very good. For me it works, but why it doesn't work for her? She has her Fedilab from the Playstore, I have it from F-Droid.

The privacy tab of #Fedilab might be more for advanced users. But let's introduce it.
These settings allow the use of alternative front-ends for most popular social Networks.
Let says you never want to visit a X or YT link. By enabling corresponding supports, the app will automatically transform links in your timeline so you will visit a front-end website instead of the original link.
Recently, we also gave more control to remove all tracking parameters in URL (Last option)

@apps I was having big problems ~ 3 months ago with the push notifications (Google play stock version). So I switched to "notifications every 15 mins" and this was working good.

But since 2 or 3 days I'm not even getting these notifications anymore.

I appreciate any help! I really would love to activate normal push notifications.

We are adding a visual indicator concerning the visibility of messages when composing. Each color related to visibility can be customized (public, unlisted, private and direct). This option can be disabled in settings. #Fedilab

By default, #Fedilab supports pronouns. It will display them, next to screen names in timelines but also when replying to a person.
For that, Fedilab uses fields (from profiles) and accepts different keys depending on your language.#FedilabTips

#Fedilab is now ready for the new #Mastodon quote feature.
We opened an issue so accounts can manage the default policy for quotes in their profile and Mastodon devs already added it.

In this process, our main issue was to keep the compatibility of the quote feature that was previously implemented for others software (as they work differently - no policy). Fedilab will be able to detect and support both of them.

We merged the quote and boost actions in the same button for #Fedilab. Taping on the boost button will offer two choices boost or quote.
It is possible that the quote action is disabled due to OP policy with quotes (followers only or no one).

Yes, #Fedilab has some differences between its Google Play version and its #FDroid version.
There are mostly due to restrictions from Google.

In the Google app we had to remove:

- Donation links
- Register an account on Mastodon (as they don't want to understand that the app doesn't collect emails).
- Filter some search results with #Peertube to exclude "YouTube Downloader" videos

To Google users, keep in mind you can easily switch to FDroid, we would be happy to help if you have questions

#Fedilab supports the quoting mechanism for long with some softwares that introduced it.
This option is currently hidden in "Extra features" from Settings.

We opened it to #Mastodon in timelines (ie: messages containing quotes), but it is not yet possible to post quoted messages with Mastodon.

Also Mastodon seems to have introduced a degree of privacy. The API returns if the OP accepted to be quoted.
Fedilab already supports this privacy parameter by displaying only accepted quotes.

Just installed the new version 3.34.0 of Fedilab from F-Droid. I can recommend this Fediverse client.

Maybe an old unknown feature of #Fedilab. In settings > Privacy you can enable an option to remove UTM parameters in URLs.
It will work for new messages but you can still clear the cache from the app.

Tomorrow, we should be able to release #Fedilab 3.34.0 in production.

This release comes with the fix of two old annoying bugs:

- Selection of the text that stops working when composing
- Crashes when the fit preview image feature is enabled.

It will also fix a recent crash with conversations.

It will add the quoting support for Mastodon and also improve the experience with highlighted hashtags.

Three dots button menu will now be displayed for remote messages.
