Love this little toadstool! The wet cap looks so incredibly glossy and if you look a little closer, you can see that it lost one of its little flakes, which sticks to the leaf on the bottom left now.

Took a trip to Weimar with a couple of friends about a week ago. If you've never been, you certainly should the city a visit. It's beautiful, it's interesting and it's home to the Bahaus Museum and that alone is worth a visit!

Won’t get much love here on #pixelfed but of all the softball photos I take (and I shot almost 1,000 today in two scrimmage games), these catcher shots with the dust cloud coming from the glove are my favorites.

The trick to these with the Canon R7 is electronic first curtain (to avoid rolling shutter distortion of the bats and ball, less of an issue for this shot), 1/2500 sec shutter speed and let the camera worry about aperture and ISO (this ended up at f/3.2 and ISO 200).

"Sonic Pavilion" - Doug Aitken

Inaugurated in 2009, the gallery is the result of a five-year process around the research, design, and construction of the work Sonic Pavilion, developed from the experience of artist Doug Aitken at Instituto Inhotim. In the center of the space lays a 202 meters deep hole, where a set of microphones are installed to capture the sounds of the earth. Transmitted in real-time, the noise occupies the whole space. The gallery’s glass walls are covered by a filter that makes the landscape of valleys and mountains sharp when seen from the front, and diffuse when observed from any other angle.

A young common kestrel that apparently was either kicked out of its nest or fell down on accident. It didn't seem to get any attention from the parents over a long time. A few minutes after these photos it was picked up and brought to a professional, hopefully being cared for and thriving soon!
