One of my favorite aspects about using a half-frame camera is how long it takes me to go through the 72 pictures that a single roll of film can capture. It feels like a trip back in time in so many ways.

This was the case when I developed a roll of Fomapan 400 that I had been using since July 2025. There were many pictures in there that I even forgot that I captured during this month.

Like these ones from a summer photo walk around Prenzlauer Berg with some friends.

My first rangefinder, a voigtlander bessa-r! with the nikon f staring accusingly at me from the back

was looking for something lightweight that felt less "serious" to use and had a working light meter. now I need to find myself a strap (maybe a wrist strap?) and a new lens cap -- one that doesn't respect gravity (maybe just a lens hood?)... and also lots of practice 😅

Bought a half-dozen lens filters from Goodwill for $5 USD because there was a Heliopan and a B&W in the set.

Also found an 85A filter for shooting tungsten film in daylight. Looking through it, it really warms up these blue-gray winter days, pulls out the sun's highlights in the clouds. Makes me want to shoot daylight film with it.

Statue

This little park at the foot of the Bridge of Lions has a statue of Juan Ponce de Leon, the first European to reach Florida. The park is lit up in the winter for the Nights of Lights. The lights were already lit at dusk when I shot this. Pentax 17, Fujifilm F-64D, ECN-2 development.

Est-ce que l'astuce consistant à rogner au peu le diamètre des joues d'une pellicule 120 est fonctionnelle ?

Ou bien il faut impérativement transférer la pellicule 120 sur l'axe d'un 620 ?

This is part of the part of Fort Hancock that’s still operational as a Coast Guard base. Usually this is behind a locked fence, but since the bombs fell, the gate has been open. Leica R4, Lomography Turquoise, ECN-2 development.

#Amsterdam Art Squat ( was my original title )

I’m not sure if this place still exists the way it did back then,
but the collection of objects and figures was nice !

At the moment, I’m carrying the Olympus Trip 35 in my pockets again.
It’s a very pleasant little camera, and it had been quite a while since I last used it.
Usually I carry a half-frame camera with me, but during these dark grey days in Belgium I just don’t manage to fill those 72 frames quickly enough. This way, though, I get to dive back into my Trip 35 archive again!

Okay...last migration for a while. Determined that (and I should've thought to look this up before hand) Pixelfed cannot display text-only posts (which means none of the great banter with the photog.social folks that I've been enjoying) as well as the fact that pixelfed.social also appears to be defederated from mastodon.art, whose draconian policies photog.social will largely inherit per the new admin's post. So, this should be a good middle ground where I can interact with my favorite photog.social accounts as well as accounts on pixelfed.social, mastodon.social, etc.

Plus I already know there's good people here too (thanks @pauliehedron ) and the wonderful @jerry runs a number of other services I've enjoyed...so my patreon just shifted to infosec as well.
