This old residence has a very striking, fairytale-like exterior. Ivy drapes over the main entrance. The chateau-style pointed roof gives an imposing and almost Gothic appearance. There are terrace balconies on both of the upper floors of the three-storey mansion.

Monastère Mont G is a former Roman Catholic monastery. The impressive building was built around a century ago.
The architectural style is Neo-Gothic. The tall roof supports are decorated with Corinthian columns. The tall vaulted ceiling and supporting columns are made out of white and red sandstone. The red and white stones alternate to produce striped pattern. The pattern is oddly reminiscent, at least to me, of a candy cane 🍭

In contrast, the doctor’s offices and surgery remain intact, quiet, and largely untouched. The surgical room was set up for obstetrics. A side room served as a dispensary, lined with bottles and vials.
