Solarpunk post-apocalyptic near-future utopia, plus Chronicles Of Darkness/SCP style weirdness, supernatural investigations.
Is this trying to do too much at once? maybe.
I've been trying to work out how to write stories in such a way that they don't become immediately dated.

A supernatural investigation type story takes the focus off the setting, allowing it to breathe, while still giving it a lot of room to be detailed. The specific date of whatever technology being introduced or created doesn't matter so much because the story isn't *about* that. This takes pressure off the date problem.
