I have spent a few evenings tinkering with the theming system of @novelwriter. The themes are defined in config files.

Since the Qt QColor object has a lighter(), darker() and alpha() modifier function, I added a way to refer to previously defined colours by name and with a L150 or D150 modifier here meaning 150% lighter or darker, and just a number for opacity from 0 to 255.

It makes it a lot easier to make themes!

For a research project I am currently evaluating all kinds of generative AI models (mostly for visual artifacts but some text based ones as well). There also is somewhat of a push at my employer to use those systems more because of “efficiency”.

I fully expect #Laravel to start deprecating the `Attribute` cast starting with Laravel 13.x.

I have, quite literally, no argument to use Attribute casts over Property Hooks. Plus, because these are native, there is no overhead.

A piece of criticism to all code forges I know: why not run #CI on all commits?

A bad commit is a liability. It will break bisect and make debugging miserable.

#ForgejoActions takes it to the extreme and cancels an already running action when I push another change.

I get it - it's too slow and expensive to test them all when pipelines take minutes to run. But you could just pause the old ones until the newest one is finished!
