When I was a child, I was told that I would be such a good student if I just tried harder.
When dopamine - and with it the motivation - was gone, I always blamed myself “I didn't try hard enough” was the explanation I used to explain my unknown ADHD brain until I was diagnosed.
I was never good enough.
