Are you using #github for #FOSS ?
Small request: could you use FOSS instead?
Don't make #Microsoft your gatekeeper, use like #forgejo #codeberg or something.

Had a nice chat with the kind people from @weblate at #FOSDEM, yesterday. Head over to the K building and visit their stand, if you're interested in localising your projects.
If your project is hosted on @Codeberg, you can make use of #codebergs's #weblate instance which is available at translate.codeberg.org/.

Hey friends! It’s nearly time for #FOSDEM, the annual free and open source event in Brussels. This weekend, the Mastodon team will be based in building H.
We’ll be raising funds for the project with some of our merch - beautiful limited edition winter mugs, pins, and t-shirts. We’ll also have fun stickers to share for free, so you can show your support for Mastodon everywhere!
(just so you know: we’re a bit short on larger t-shirt sizes, so come early if you want to buy one of those)
Mon 3rd Feb, just a day after the #FOSDEM we'll have small HackDay in Brussels — hopefully making more cameras run well on #Linux, #embedded, #postmarketOS & #Mobian
If you're interested to help with hacking around #LinuxKernel CCS, #libcamera or #Qualcomm CAMSS (not limited to) ping us on #qcom-camss OFTC IRC channel or here.

Jack Dorsey keynoting at the plague confen... *Cough* sorry #FOSDEM seems par for the course. We've wandered far away from FOSS it appears. Or perhaps we were the first victims of the grift.chaos.social
FOSDEM 2025
38c3 with many Fediverse related meet-ups has just finished but we are already looking forward to meet at FOSDEM at the first weekend of February. Tobias from the Friendica devel team will give a talk about Friendica at FOSDEM 25 in the Social Web Devroom.
Friendica – under the radar since 2010 is scheduled for Saturday (1.2.2025) from 15:30 to 16:00.
(Update 2025-01-28 the time slot for the talk as been updated to reflect the updated schedule of the Devroom)
It seems like our joint stand with @forgejo at #FOSDEM2025 has been accepted, thank you @fosdem!
For those of you that don't know, #FOSDEM is an annual conference for free and open source software taking place in Brussels. We'll be there throughout the event to exchange words and/or stickers with some of you.
See you in February!
