Seems a lot of people outside of the UK weren't aware of events unfolding here. With people leaving Twitter/X for other platforms, it's more important than ever to understand and promote federation between these platforms.

A point missed in this thread and worth pointing out: the riots were spread by misinformation (inadvertent) *and* disinformation (intentional).
