If the attacks lead to anything other than a #liberal #democracy blossoming in #Iran, they will have failed. And the odds of that happening are very, very thin.
If the objective is to neuter Iran’s #missile and #drone capabilities, great; but then why is the administration saying this could last for “weeks”? I we need that much time to achieve that limited objective.
If the objective is to stop their nuclear program, then (a) it has stopped under JCPOA, from which this president withdrew; (b) this same president had announced after the 12-day war that we’d removed that threat, so was he lying then, or now? And (c) the Iranians were by all reports ready to give up that program during negotiations, before these attacks. So WTF.
That's why I prefer to show real people or #activism to tell about possible role models and #visions to say: Look, it starts small, it takes a lot of effort, but you too can find something to get active - you are not alone. Even it's something very small.
It is much more important than boosting (even in disgust) the voices of the destroyers again and again.
