How many times must I tell #github "I want to see fewer repository recommendations" before it stops showing me repository recommendations
And what's up with #tech companies completely ignoring the idea of consent, why has every "don't show this" or "no" option" turned into "I want to see less of this" or "ask me later" or "X" buttons which just hide the nagging until the next page load or app launch
"Repository name should contain only alphanumeric, dash ("-"), underscore ("_") and dot (".") characters."
Hot take: we're too attached to the #Latin script. It's a historical accident that I can't call my #Git repo "привет" on a code #forge , and it's pushing a cool part the native cultures of billions of humans to the margin. Git itself can do it no problem!
And why should Дима switch to Latin for naming project if John doesn't switch to #кириллица anyway?

A case for choosing alternatives to GitHub for your open-source works. Both practical and philosophical.cfp.gulas.ch
it would help to get rid of that stupid #github thing where they call clones forks, first of all, and second, to always make it clear that an actual fork, which I assume is what a git bomb is, is in fact the fork, not the original, and that it has been modified, and maybe to allow for relatively simple way to see how it's been modified.
This also avoids the pointless repo clutter of script kiddies 'forking' a repo when all they wanted was to clone it.

If there was malicious code in a legitimate project hosted on #codeberg, would we remove access to it, including for security researchers?
Short: No!
We are considering how to prevent fetching malicious code by accident, though.
In any case, we are open to collaborating with security researchers. Interested? Help us build a malware hunting team: codeberg.org/Codeberg/Contribu…
Background: #GitHub locked access to source code of xz, which was background of active investigation from the community.
[Team] Malware hunting
### About the team This is an idea in case someone is interested to get involved with this topic. Codeberg is abused for spreading malware, like many other places. It is certainly interesting, because a lot of malware we see is either new.Codeberg.org
