It looks a little bit like a desert (one with a lot of water😂), but it is the beach at Cacela Velja, a small coastal town in Portugal, photographed in February 2026. At low tide, the beach is very wide and you can walk very far out to sea, or you can walk along the beach all the way to Monte Gordo. Just be careful to be near a staircase leading up when the tide comes in.

Dünenlandschaft mit Strandhafer am nördlichsten Punkt Dänemarks, in Grenen. Da wo Skagerrak und Kategatt zusammentreffen war es heute ziemlich windig. Das Licht aber superschön und die Gräser auf den Dünen haben sich so richtig goldig präsentiert. Vor dem tiefblauen Himmel und mit dem weissen Sand am Boden eine herrliche Landschaft!

Treppe beim Leuchtturm Hirtshals Fyr von der Düne zum Strand. Kalt, aber schönes Wetter mit Wind. Herrlich stille Stimmung mit ganz wenig Menschen am Strand. So kann man hier super abschalten, zur Ruhe kommen und Kraft tanken.

Cacela Velha is a beautiful little village on the Portuguese coast. It's situated high up with a beautiful view of the beach and the sea below. If you descend the stairs at low tide, you can walk quite a distance to the sea. Halfway up the stairs, you can see the splendor of the sea and the beach through the now bare trees. If you're in the area (near Faro and Tavira), you really should stop by. There's a lovely white church, a beautiful view, and a wonderful restaurant. #travel #portugal #meer #sea #beach #photography #landscapephotography #landscape
