1) I am confident that it hardened opposition more than support among military leadership.
2) Contrary to my expectations, they did not use the gathering to loyalty-test people and immediately dismiss any who failed the test. This was a huge strategic blunder.
I think with regards to the military we are actually in better shape as a result of this meeting.
