Hoert sich wie der ultimative Engagementbait einer Pampasgras-Influencerin an, die gerade nen neuen Insta-Kanal startet, aber wie soll ich es denn anders testen 🤷♂️

Auch wenn ich #Mastodon ueber die Jahre immer noch parallel bespielt habe... meine Guete ist das angenehm hier, wenn man das nun konsequenter durchzieht.
Und damit meine ich vor allen Dingen weitere #Fediverse Services. Allein, dass mein Blog @info nun seit August angebunden ist, #Pixelfed und #Loops ein wenig mehr Traktion bekommen...
Hat sowas von wieder verknallt sein und zwar nicht nur in eine Idee, sondern einen Wandel.
Die Zeit war noch nie so reif wie jetzt!
I personally really like #Pixelfed and i think #Loops is a great idea and project. I'm also obviously happy about #Mastodon, also think #Lemmy is great.
#Peertube is great, so is #Funkwhale.
But ask most #GenZ folks about any of those and you're going to get a blank stare unless they are on Mastodon already.
There's nothing wrong with that, we all enjoy these things, but again, reality vs. expectations... something i can't help but consider.
Been on the fedi for 8 years in some form, seen how many instances block each other over the most trivial of things, and some that were anything but.
Point is... kinda' hard to imagine Gen Z signing up for a #loops instance & discovering they can lose access to their friends' accounts & content over the inevitable future there as well & being totally cool with it.
Nothing wrong with dreaming big, but being realistic about expectations i think is also part of the process of succeeding in life.
I love the excitement for new #ActivityPub based projects.
Maybe i'm wrong but 'loops will do for the fediverse what the iPhone did for smartphones' seems a bit out of touch.
Nothing wrong with being excited, but seeing how few people know of or care about Pixelfed still outside of Mastodon users who many have bailed for Bluesky, I think maybe, just maybe, the fedi is a hopeful echo chamber in a bubble sometimes.

Gestern hat @mashapotempa mittels Psychodrama-Methoden und mit mir einen Vortrag bei der @LeipzigerLiederszene gehalten zum Thema "Das Fediverse". Eine Teilnehmerin meinte in der Schlussrunde, dass sie jetzt eine Tür sieht, wo vorher nur Mauern waren. Das fand ich nachvollziehbar und schön.

They deleted their project after crashing out by attacking and trying to blame me for "stealing users", despite my attempts to collaborate and give them attention.
Let this be a lesson to other/future fedi devs, our projects are not a popularity contest.
We succeed together, for the people 🚀
