An interesting aspect of translating #Lovecraft is that he used extremely rare words in the full expectation that his Weird Tales audience wouldn't understand them. He could have written scaly and wrinkled, but he chose squamous and rugose for horrific effect. His horrors were indescribable to such an extent that he didn't even want the reader to understand his descriptions. And this is part of the translator's task too.

Tomorrow, I want to get some gaming in. I'm managing one short session a week at the moment due to pain and fatigue. It's ridiculous, because I need that escapism, but I can be in too much pain to get that escapism.
I also hope to get some #writing done over the weekend. If not actual prose, then finish one plan and consider my approach to a different tale.
Anyway, it's stupid-o-clock, so time to go and sleep.
And hope my office cools down tomorrow.
Need feedback. I narrated a short story to test making audio books, and could use honest opinions on how it sounds, the technical quality, and also reading/narration, or anything that I need to improve before I embark on an actual projects.
I recorded on Audacity with a Rhode NT1 5th Gen, a bright mic, so it needed lots of post-processing in DR Fairlight.
Is it working? Any tips?
