First Hot take on #Serato #Apple Music integration for DJs…
1. Super easy setup.
2. No Stem support (understandable)
3. No recording mixes (even more so!)
4. Streaming tracks cannot be added to Crates (or smart crates) - they can only be on Apple Music playlists.
5. Your Apple Music Structure Albums, playlists, Recently Added etc are all visible.
Such an easy workflow:
Shazam > Playlist > DJ Controller
Looks like a great development all round.
This is great news for beginner bedroom DJs like me. Previously, streaming into #Serato was only available via specialty platforms with pro-level monthly subscriptions. Being able to access the #Apple Music catalogue from your DJ software is big! Can’t wait to try it out.
