the pulp part (or whatever it is called) which later on opens up to make a small onion flower. shot it before at 3,2X and now it's in 5.8X! It's blurry for sure despite my trials to sharpen it (and it's better here than in the original anyway). However, as usual, if you step away a bit, it becomes somewhat better to see.

It's 3D Saturday here and I didn't make any new anaglyphs from my side, so I've dug up the archive and I'm not sure if I did post this one before or not, but anywhere here you go! I remember shooting this around my workplace - I wasn't a fan of shooting with phone back then and I would bring up my camera to work often back in the day.

Another shot for the corn leaf, and I think the lighting here was from the back of the leaf. It doesn't show much details and contour like the previous one.

OK, this one I really like even though it might be blurry a bit (again, it's not motion blur or focusing issue, but because of the narrow aperture). It's the surface of a corn (maize) leaf - well, I think it's corn 😐
Anyway, the lighting was handheld of course (using 430EXII) from the side. Lighting from the side pronounces the features better than top lighting (and front lighting is out of question of course). One thing I'm not sure of though, whether these grains are dust particles or pollen of some sort. Some "halo" markings can be visible a bit here, this is because I've used the "high pass" sharpening method excessively (if the image is blurry to you now, you don't wanna see the original - a disaster!).

You will notice in this series that I'm not giving titles to these shots because, well, my creative juices were down the drain 😒 so I'm just putting the file number here, with the magnification factor.
This shot might look a bit shaky but actually it's not, but the blurriness comes from the f/22 used to take the shot, and also with some noise cleaning later on. The colorful spots here are not chromatic noise, but rather a boost in vibrance and saturation - just a bit of color won't harm to make things just a bit exciting I guess 😬

Still with my dear onion (before it got plucked 😒), and actually I was planning for this shot long before doing the previous macro series, but for some reasons I couldn't do it then, till after doing the macro shots.
Anyway, the idea was settled in my head already that this shot should be in B&W. Shooting it, though, was a hard task because of the sun, and I had to play a guessing game there (and shooting in brackets). I couldn't see much under the sun, and because it's a low-level shot, I couldn't use the viewfinder. Anyway, for more than a dozen of shots, I've finally did find one that is somewhat good to be edited, but I'm still not super satisfied about the perspective of the table.

TA DAAAA! The last in the series! Now, I have to think of another boring series 🤔😛
Just to recap, this series was shot using Voigtländer 20mm lens in reverse, which should provide about 3.2:1 magnification factor, for onion flower (or flowers since these small buds open up showing smaller flowers later).
Most of the shots in this series were made with max aperture (f/22) and ISO on Auto mode (but most shots were around ISO 400). Lighting was done using a single speedlite first then two of them.
In this shot, I've tried to save the image by some excessive selective sharpening and by suppressing the background colors a bit (which with layer masks somewhat produced a tiny halo effect) - I like it personally though it wasn't intentional!
