Now this is Polly's remaining son, Alfie (the others, Archie and Angie, were adopted long ago). As you can see, there was some theme naming involved when naming the litter, but in his case he's named after Alfie Solomons, also from Peaky Blinders.

He's still looking for adoption, but after almost three years of constant posting no one has come forward yet, so we might end up keeping him too.

Osito (Little Bear in spanish), also known as Chiquitín (Tiny), was named by an ex-colleague and we kept it because I thought it was funny. He is Polly's brother.

He was a street cat for many years but we had to take him in for a while since he got sick and needed medicine. However, Polly (who we took in some months before) and him recognized each other and have been together ever since. We didn't have the heart to return him to the street after that.

Next are Polly and Osito.

Polly was originally named Proletaria because her mother's name was Trabajadora (so Proletarian and Worker — kind of a running joke) but somebody had an issue with her name and we renamed her Polly after the character from Peaky Blinders (and her mother was renamed Dora). We took her in with her babies when she gave birth to them in a very dangerous place.

I'll start with the void kitties.

These are Érebo, Emira and Edric.

Érebo got it's name from the hellenic primordial entity of darkness. He was rescued from the colony we manage because another cat was very aggressive towards him.

Emira and Edric got their name from the show The Owl House (they're Amity's siblings). They were abandoned one day at the colony and we took them in because they were extremely social — they didn't belong there.

April is traditionally a difficult month for me, so I'd love it if people sent me a picture of their cat(s) with their name.

I love cute cats with cute names, and weird cats with weird names, and dumb cats with dumb names, and all the nuances in-between and beyond...
