The most amazing, recurring and awesome difference between GitHub and a #selfhosted #Forgejo is that starting, canceling and interacting with actions is instantaneous. Like... zero waiting 😌
@aohorodnyk this would be rather hard to maintain and keep up to date. Some features are also implemented in both forges, but slightly different where the differenes might not matter too much.
I appreciate your time to build so descriptive answer. I’ve also done some quick research. The main negative part for me is an Enterprise plan in Gitea, that means Open Source version will miss some great features.
However, do you have any idea, will #forgejo provide some great feature equivalent to Gitea Enteprise’s?
I understand that question is weird, but it’s be great to hear some plans/views for the product.
@aohorodnyk The roadmap in Forgejo is determined by user's needs. We don't plan to offer the same features unless proven they are needed by a significant amount of users.

It’d be amazing if someone will support a feature comparison table between #gitea and #forgejo.

One example is repo search using Git grep that was initially added to Forgejo in February 2024 after some months of work codeberg.org/forgejo/forgejo/p…, and was added to Gitea in March 2024 github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull…
